![]() ![]() The goal of the program is to nurture a child's heart, mind, body & spirit. Beginning with self awareness, the child then looks outside her/himself to view the world's wonders & experience the awe and joys of life surrounding themselves.
The Educator Essentials Curriculum developed by Mindful Schools as well as MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) & MBCT (Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy) will be taught. Mindfulness Meditation practice & Body Scans will be part of the lessons. Mindful Self-Compassion, Loving kindness, & ways to develop one's self esteem are an integral part of the course. During each class, students will participate in interactive discussions. Students will listen to poetry, keep a gratitude journal, listen to music & draw. The exercise component is TaiKiRo (developed by Steven MF Cohen) which are motions based on the principles & movements of Tai Chi & Aikido. In general, the child should complete this course with an enhanced experience of the sacredness in everyday life.

Listening in Stillness
Cultivating a contemplative presence for God involves daily practice of spiritual disciplines in solitude.
Because the journey cannot be completed alone, we also practice and learn with a community
of supportive friends. This, for us, is the inward journey: "practicing the Presence of God for personal transformation." Serving in Joy! a response of serving by bringing the Presence into our service. We serve through our chosen vocations and through shared missions. We seek compassionate service with the world. This for us is the outward journey |
